The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. The company manufactures signs; experience within the sign industry is preferred but not required.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
• Select appropriate welding materials and techniques for each project.
• Join or fabricate metal parts by applying appropriate welding methods.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Perform repairs on metal components, machinery, and structures as needed.
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
• Document work performed and maintain equipment logs as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder in a sign, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow them diligently.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a plus.
