Prado’s Plumbing, Heating & Air is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Water Heating Specialist to join our plumbing service team. This position focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and installing residential water heating systems while delivering reliable service and professional customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential water heating systems.

• Install, replace, and maintain traditional tank water heaters and tankless systems.

• Inspect water heaters, connections, venting, and related plumbing components.

• Identify performance issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.

• Explain findings, estimates, and service recommendations clearly to customers.

• Perform preventive maintenance to support equipment efficiency and reliability.

• Verify system operation and complete applicable safety checks after service.

• Follow manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and company procedures.

• Maintain accurate service reports, equipment records, and customer documentation.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Coordinate with dispatch, plumbing technicians, and management.

• Represent Prado’s professionally during every customer interaction.

Required or expected qualifications:

• Experience in plumbing, water heater service, or a related mechanical trade.

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to communicate technical information in a clear, professional manner.

• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.

• Reliable attendance, organization, and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations.

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential service work, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with gas, electric, and tankless water heaters.

• Knowledge of water pressure, temperature controls, venting, and plumbing connections.

• Familiarity with local plumbing codes and manufacturer requirements.

• Relevant plumbing licenses or certifications, where applicable.

• Experience providing residential customer service.

Compensation & Benefits

Proposed pay range: $28–$38 per hour, depending on experience, technical qualifications, certifications, and applicable licensing.
