The Vice President of Operations plays a critical leadership role within Structure Hospitality. This position is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of hotels, supporting owner relationships, developing General Managers, driving financial performance, leading hotel transitions and onboarding efforts, and executing company initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced multi-property hotel operator with strong financial acumen, leadership ability, and a proven track record of improving performance and developing teams.
This role requires regular travel and direct involvement with hotel owners, General Managers, corporate team members, and property-level operations. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area, although qualified candidates throughout the Mountain West and Southwest United States will be considered.
Compensation includes an annual salary of $128,000 - $138,000, a quarterly performance bonus, health insurance benefits, 401(k) retirement, and paid time off.
Oversee an assigned portfolio of hotels and drive operational and financial performance.
Lead, develop, and hold General Managers and property leadership teams accountable.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners and serve as the primary operational contact.
Review and analyze P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, labor reports, cash flow, and STR reports.
Identify performance challenges and develop action plans to improve results.
Partner with accounting, revenue management, and sales to achieve company goals.
Monitor labor, expenses, revenue, and profitability across the portfolio.
Conduct regular property visits and operational reviews.
Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and operating procedures.
Lead hotel onboarding, transitions, renovations, and special projects.
Support recruiting, training, and development of hotel leadership teams.
Drive accountability, follow-through, and execution across assigned hotels.
Assist with company initiatives, process improvements, and operational planning.
Provide leadership and support to department leaders and corporate team members as needed.
Required
Multi-property hotel operations experience.
Experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, Area Manager, General Manager, or similar leadership role.
Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial statements, and P&L management.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cash flow analysis, and financial accountability.
Strong knowledge of hotel accounting procedures and internal controls.
Experience working directly with hotel owners and ownership groups.
Proven ability to improve hotel performance and profitability.
Experience developing, coaching, and leading General Managers and hotel leadership teams.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel regularly throughout the portfolio.
Preferred
Experience with select-service and upper-midscale hotel brands.
Experience with hotel transitions, onboarding, repositioning, or renovations.
Experience within a third-party hotel management company.
Experience leading multiple hotels across different markets and states.
Experience working closely with operations, accounting, revenue management, and sales teams.
