This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking long-term professional growth and advancement. The successful candidate will work closely with our attorneys in all aspects of trust and estate administration, including probate and related court matters. They will receive training and mentorship with the opportunity to assume increasing responsibility and, ultimately, a leadership role within the Trust & Estate Administration Department.
This broad salary range reflects our willingness to tailor the position to the candidate's level of experience, knowledge, and ability to assume responsibility. Whether you are an experienced paralegal or legal administrative professional from a transactional law firm setting, a professional looking to build a career in trust and estate administration, or an accomplished paralegal with experience in this field and the ability to independently handle more complex trust and estate administration matters, take on greater responsibility, and contribute at a higher level, we are interested in speaking with you.
The responsibilities of this position will be:
To assist attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate administration, more specifically, the preparation and filing of inventories and accountings; real estate deeds; business transfer documents; certificates of trust; pleadings pertaining to estate and trust administration; and all other documents related to probate and trust administration matters.
The successful candidate must be able to work with the Commissioners of Accounts, their auditors, and court clerks as needed, as well as manage a busy calendar, including deadlines, suspense dates, and court-related timelines.
There will be daily interaction with clients, financial advisors, and others involved in administration.
We are seeking a candidate with at least one year of experience, preferably as a Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal; however, we are also open to speaking with experienced Paralegals or Legal Assistants who have worked in a transactional law firm and are interested in developing their expertise in trusts and estates.
Candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting attorneys in a transactional practice are encouraged to apply.
