This is not a desk job. As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll be in the field cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems, operating equipment, and tackling physically demanding work while also making sure your crew stays safe, productive, and on schedule. You’ll be the point person on the job site and will take ownership of the quality of each completed job.

• Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday–Thursday; night/early morning and day shifts

• Location: Office in Chester Springs, PA; jobs typically within a 25–50 mile radius

As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for both doing the work and leading the crew. Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and work alongside a field crew completing commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning jobs

• Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ducts, fans, and related equipment

• Coordinate the crew at each job site, assigning tasks and keeping work moving efficiently

• Ensure jobs are completed thoroughly, safely, and according to HOODZ standards

• Serve as the on-site point person and communicate professionally with customers when needed

• Travel to client locations within approximately a 25–50 mile radius and ensure the crew is prepared for each job

• Operate pressure washers and specialized cleaning equipment to remove grease and buildup

• Set up and break down job sites while protecting customer property and maintaining a professional work environment

• Follow and enforce company safety procedures, including proper use of ladders, lifts, harnesses, and personal protective equipment

• Inspect completed work and address quality issues before leaving the job site

• Capture accurate before-and-after photos and ensure all required job documentation and reports are completed

• Keep the team on schedule while maintaining high standards for quality and safety

• Help train, coach, and develop Field Service Technicians

• Identify equipment, staffing, safety, or performance concerns and communicate them to management

• Take ownership of the crew, equipment, vehicle, and overall success of the shift

• Previous experience leading or supervising a crew, shift, or field team preferred

• Experience in trades, construction, maintenance, facilities, field service, or technician roles is strongly preferred

• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required

• Comfortable driving to and from client locations and potentially operating company vehicles

• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods

• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces using ladders, lifts, and harnesses

• Full-time availability, including overnight and early morning shifts as needed

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work correctly

• Ability to give direction, hold team members accountable, and maintain a positive, productive crew environment

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Dependable, punctual, and able to take ownership without needing constant supervision

• Prior commercial kitchen hood cleaning experience is a plus, but we are willing to train a strong leader with the right work ethic and experience
