Seeking a committed individual to join our Roswell, GA team as a Settlement Disbursal Coordinator. This role involves guiding clients through negotiations to reach final settlements with our Attorneys and ensuring prompt receipt of settlement funds. Responsibilities include managing all financial transactions during the settlement phase of personal injury cases, verifying case-related amounts and fees, negotiating reductions with medical providers, ensuring timely payments, and preparing precise settlement disbursements for clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong self-motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive attitude for exceptional client support.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emails and phone calls, actively participate in team meetings, and provide support to meet team needs.
  • Use case management software to create a Settlement Memo and review settlement conference figures on behalf of clients.
  • Validate balances on recent bills from medical providers stored in files.
  • Ensure accurate confirmation of all file expenses.
  • Coordinate and negotiate potential reductions with medical providers.
  • Thoroughly review the Final Settlement Breakdown and verify all providers involved.
  • Initiate requests for Settlement checks when needed.
  • Schedule and attend Settlement Appointments with clients.
  • Assist in efficiently closing files by completing necessary tasks.
  • Deliver consistent outstanding customer service to clients.
  • Work closely with the attorney, team members, and controller.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required for the role.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this Settlement Disbursal Coordinator position in Roswell, GA, US.
  • Preferably, candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative or customer service roles, with a preference for experience in personal injury law firms, insurance billing, accounts payable and receivable, or as an insurance adjuster.
  • Working knowledge of multiple spreadsheets is essential.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 is required.
  • Candidates with a background in accounting are preferred.
  • Strong math skills are a must for this role.
  • The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Attention to detail is a key requirement.
  • Experience with the case manager software "GrowPath" is preferred.
  • Notary certification is a plus.
  • Being a team player is important for success in this role.

Compensation

$19 - $21/hour
