Our popular restaurant is searching for servers with a welcoming smile and a positive customer service attitude to set the tone for our visitors' dining experience. In the restaurant, you will serve our customers by ensuring they are seated quickly, their orders are received, prepared, and delivered in a timely manner, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next customers. Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a warm, professional greeting and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, prepare and serve items promptly, and accommodate special requests when possible.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and daily specials to confidently answer questions and make recommendations.
  • Operate the POS system and process payments accurately, ensuring guest checks and transactions are completed correctly.
  • Assist with food and beverage preparation while maintaining brand presentation and quality standards.
  • Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean, organized, and fully stocked, including busing and resetting tables.
  • Complete opening and closing duties such as cleaning, restocking, and preparing the Bistro for service.
  • Participate in team meetings and pre-shift briefings to stay informed on menu updates, promotions, and operational changes.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations and excellent guest service.
  • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
  • Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
  • Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests
  • Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment preferred, but not required.
  • Must have open and flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with guests and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to support smooth daily operations.
  • Punctual, dependable, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for night shift positions.
  • Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
  • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
  • We prefer some experience working in the food service industry

Compensation

$13 - $13/hour
