The Employment Law Solution (“ELS”) is an Atlanta-based boutique employment law firm seeking an experienced employment litigator who wants to continue practicing at a high level—owning cases, advising clients, taking depositions, arguing motions, and leading mediations—without a traditional law firm billable-hour requirement.

This is not a contract role. It is not a supporting-attorney position. And it is not a step away from a serious legal career.

It is a permanent Senior Counsel position built around a 1,200-hour annual billable expectation.

We have the work. You do not need to bring a book of business.

Senior Employment Litigation Counsel will have meaningful responsibility for both matters and client relationships. You will:

• Independently manage management-side employment litigation in state and federal courts from inception through resolution;

• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical, business-minded advice to clients;

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on assigned matters;

• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, dispositive motions, and other substantive filings;

• Develop and manage written discovery and electronically stored information;

• Take and defend depositions;

• Prepare for and handle hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations;

• Prepare matters for trial and participate meaningfully in trials;

• Handle administrative agency matters, including EEOC and similar charges, as appropriate;

• Effectively delegate to and supervise experienced paralegals and other team members; and

• Collaborate with ELS attorneys on litigation strategy and broader client needs.

We are looking for an experienced litigator who can receive a new matter and take responsibility for moving it forward without requiring day-to-day partner supervision.

Our ideal candidate has significant employment litigation experience and approximately 8 or more years of practice. We care more, however, about demonstrated capability than a particular number of years.

You should have:

• Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar;

• Significant litigation experience, with employment litigation experience strongly preferred;

• Demonstrated experience independently managing litigation matters from inception through resolution;

• Experience taking and defending depositions;

• Experience handling substantive motions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations;

• Excellent legal research, analysis, and persuasive writing skills;

• Sound judgment and the ability to develop strategy rather than simply execute assignments;

• Strong client-service skills and the confidence to serve as a direct client contact;

• Strong organizational and case-management skills; and

• A collaborative, accountable approach to practicing law.

Management-side employment experience is strongly preferred. We will also consider an accomplished employment litigator whose experience and judgment demonstrate the ability to transition successfully into a management-side practice.
