Balanced Accounting is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our growing firm. This role combines client accounting, financial review, bookkeeping oversight, and team support.

The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks expertise, enjoys working directly with clients, and can manage multiple client engagements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

This position provides the opportunity to work closely with business owners, lead client engagements, review accounting work, improve processes, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

• Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients.

• Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping and accounting clients.

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping when necessary.

• Review bookkeeping completed by other staff members.

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

• Review financial statements before delivery to clients.

• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Analyze unusual transactions and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Lead client meetings and explain financial results.

• Train and mentor team members.

• Improve accounting processes and workflows.

• Troubleshoot QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop issues.

• Assist with cleanup, catch-up, and conversion projects.

• 5+ years of accounting experience and a thorough understanding of GAAP Pricipals.

• Advanced QuickBooks Desktop and Online knowledge.

• Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.

• Strong bookkeeping and month-end close experience.

• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reconciliation of financial information across multiple reports.

• Experience reviewing work prepared by others.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

• Experience supervising accounting staff

• Experience providing accounting services to small businesses.

• You must reside in Florida to be considered

• Bilingual is a must (Spanish/English)
