Are you a salesperson who enjoys working with customers but also likes creating your own opportunities?

Carpet City Flooring Center is looking for a Sales Representative to join our Marshfield team. This is a great opportunity for someone with sales experience who enjoys building relationships, following up with customers, and developing new business.

Flooring experience is not required. We’ll teach you the industry.

Your primary workplace will be our Marshfield showroom, where you’ll work with customers, prepare quotes, manage projects, and develop your sales pipeline. You’ll also have the opportunity to grow your career by reaching out to prospective customers, reconnecting with past customers, building referral relationships, and meeting with local businesses and customers when appropriate.

On-Target Earnings: $50,000–$80,000+

You’ll earn the higher of your guaranteed base pay or earned commission, giving you income stability while you build your career and the opportunity to earn more as your sales grow.

Help Customers Find the Right Solution

You’ll work directly with customers throughout their flooring projects—from their first conversation with us through installation.

• Welcome and assist customers in our Marshfield showroom
• Learn about each customer’s project, needs, style, budget, and timeline
• Help customers select flooring products that fit their needs
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals
• Coordinate measurements, estimates, product selections, and project details
• Follow up with customers and open quotes
• Manage projects from initial conversation through installation
• Build relationships that lead to repeat and referral business
• Work with our installation and operations teams to provide a great customer experience

Develop New Sales Opportunities

You won’t have to rely solely on customers walking through the door.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities and building relationships within the Marshfield community.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Reach out to prospective customers by phone, email, referrals, and networking
• Reconnect with previous customers
• Develop relationships with property managers, builders, remodelers, senior living communities, local businesses, and other potential customers
• Follow up consistently with leads and open opportunities
• Schedule appointments and meet with prospects when appropriate
• Ask for referrals and identify additional opportunities with existing customers
• Build and maintain your own pipeline of future business

Your showroom is your home base. The majority of your work will take place at our Marshfield location, with occasional customer visits, prospect meetings, networking events, or other business-development activities outside the store.

Bring your sales experience. We’ll teach you flooring.

You don’t need flooring, design, or construction experience to be successful in this position. We’re more interested in your ability to communicate, connect with people, follow through, and sell.

• Have previous sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing experience
• Enjoy talking with people and building relationships
• Are comfortable reaching out to prospective customers
• Know that good follow-up can make the difference between a missed opportunity and a sale

• Can manage multiple customers, quotes, and projects at the same time
• Are comfortable using phone, email, and technology throughout the sales process

• Enjoy working independently while still being part of a team

Sales experience can come from many industries. Retail, automotive, furniture, appliances, home improvement, building materials, construction, real estate, property management, B2B sales, account management, business services, and other relationship-driven sales backgrounds can all translate well to flooring.
