Aloft Newport on the Levee is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Room Attendants to join our Housekeeping team. Our Room Attendants play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest.

We are looking for team members who take pride in their work, can maintain high cleanliness standards, and are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Compensation
$6.50 per completed guest room

This position is paid on a per-room basis, allowing efficient and experienced Room Attendants the opportunity to increase their effective hourly earnings based on productivity. Typical earnings are approximately $14 – $16 per hour, depending on the number and type of rooms completed and individual productivity.

Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and preparing assigned guestrooms according to Aloft and Marriott cleanliness and presentation standards. Responsibilities include:

• Clean and prepare guestrooms for arriving and staying guests.

• Make beds and replace sheets, pillowcases, and other linens as required.

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, counters, and floors.

• Replace towels, bath amenities, and other guest supplies.

• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, surfaces, and guestroom equipment.

• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop hard-surface flooring.

• Empty trash and remove used linens from guestrooms.

• Ensure guestrooms are properly stocked and presented before being released as clean.

• Inspect completed rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance concerns.

• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, lost-and-found items, and unusual room conditions to management.

• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas in a clean and organized condition.

• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, linens, guest belongings, and hotel property.

• Work collaboratively with Housekeeping leadership, Front Desk, Engineering, and other hotel departments when necessary.

• Complete assigned rooms within established productivity expectations while maintaining quality standards.

Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday. Room Attendants must be able to push and maneuver a housekeeping cart and lift or move housekeeping supplies, linens, and other materials necessary to perform the position.
