Description
The hotel restaurant supervisor bridges the gap between management, staff, and guests. They oversee daily dining operations, train and schedule staff, and ensure exceptional guest service. Responsibilities include managing food safety standards, handling customer complaints, and balancing POS transactions.
Responsibilities
- Staff Management & Training: Schedule team members (hosts, servers, bartenders), conduct daily shift briefings, and provide ongoing training on service standards, menu knowledge, and upselling.
- Guest Relations: Ensure seamless, high-quality dining experiences, proactively monitor guest satisfaction, and resolve complaints quickly.
- Operational Oversight: Manage floor operations during service, coordinate with the kitchen and bar, and ensure the restaurant adheres strictly to health, hygiene, and fire regulations.
- Administration & Inventory: Monitor supply levels, assist with inventory counts, and review daily transaction reports to prevent billing and cash discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–3 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality or hotel setting.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera) and modern Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is highly preferred.
Compensation
$18/hour
