We are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment.
You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. You will also need to multitask efficiently and answer menu questions if the waitstaff is unavailable.

Responsibilities
- Take carryout orders and online orders
- Help clear and wipe down tables and set up tables with utensils and glassware for the next party
- Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries
- Monitor the dining room for tidiness, ensure all tables and chairs are organized, and that condiments are restocked when needed
- Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed
- Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive
Qualifications
- Skills needed for this role include excellent people skills, time management, organization skills, and the ability to handle customer requests and situations quickly with a pleasant demeanor
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
- Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
- For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English
Compensation
$12 - $15/hour
