Inyo Restaurant is looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host or hostess with outstanding customer service skills.

In this role, you will need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries, manage reservations, and welcome guests. Your main duties will include guiding guests to clean tables, ensuring adequate seating for parties, and checking that everyone has proper tableware. We require professional attire and comfortable footwear, as you will be standing frequently throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Take all carryout orders, as well as accept all online orders. This task includes properly packing all to-go orders and cashing out all customers.

  • Respond to phone inquiries professionally and secure reservations while ensuring all seating issues are quickly and efficiently handled
  • Learn the menu, including the daily specials and accurately describe how dishes are prepared
  • Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive

Qualifications

  • Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
  • Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around

Compensation

$12 - $15 hourly
