We are seeking Residential Support Staff to offer aid to individuals residing in Substance Abuse Recovery Homes in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of residents in Substance Abuse Recovery Homes in Baltimore, MD, by monitoring residential census and conducting regular room checks
- Prepare resident rooms for admission and discharge procedures
- Supervise and engage residents in activities that align with their treatment plans in the residential setting
- Orient clients to the residential program, explaining program policies, client rights, and house rules
- Enforce residential policies, procedures, and curriculum to support residential living
- Maintain an inventory of residential supplies and communicate any needs to the supervisor promptly
- Assist residents in self-administering medication and document the process accordingly
- Provide transportation for residents to medical appointments, as well as accompany them for other activities like grocery shopping and vocational training
- Handle conflicts among residents and provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Document daily activities, medication administration, incidents, and visitation in the communication log, ensuring all staff are informed across shifts
- Organize and oversee daily activities, including meals, chores, group sessions, and recreational activities for residents
- Share updates on residential services with supervisors during weekly multidisciplinary team conferences
- Conduct and document fire drills and emergency procedures as required
- Ensure compliance with regulatory licensing standards for the facility
- Participate in training sessions to enhance teamwork, communication, and program development
- Attend program evaluations, committee meetings, and clinical staff gatherings as needed
- Contribute to building maintenance tasks and upkeep as requested
Qualifications
- A High school diploma or GED is required for this role in Baltimore, MD, US
- Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience working in residential recovery treatment within a group residential setting
Compensation
$15 - $18/hour
