The Role

The Crew Member is a hands-on production role supporting the Crew Lead in delivering high-quality, high-end residential remodels on schedule and to spec. This position works closely with the crew, skilled carpenters, and subcontractors to maintain unit integrity across the job site — executing production tasks, jobsite cleanliness, tool care, safety compliance, and administrative accuracy, while escalating client-facing and scope questions to the Crew Lead or Project Manager. You’ll work with a skilled team of tradesmen to bring construction plans to life. Compensation

• Hourly rate of $20–$30, based on experience and qualifications.

• Daily vehicle stipend for use of a personal vehicle for business purposes.

• Simple IRA retirement plan with employer-matched contributions up to 3%.

• 10 days of paid time off per calendar year.

What Success Looks Like

• Complete assigned tasks within the 40-hour workweek and within the daily/task budget.

• Deficiencies identified and corrected before moving on to the next task or project.

• Accurate, on-time JobTread entries and expense submissions.

• A consistent, reliable presence that the Crew Lead and Project Manager can count on.

Qualified candidates should be prepared to provide the following as part of the hiring process:

• A brief portfolio: photos of 2–3 completed projects or examples of finish-level work.

• At least one prior employer or supervisor reference.

• Availability for a practical skills verification (tool use, task walkthrough, safety awareness).

• Consent to a pre-offer background check and drug screen.

• Execute assigned production tasks safely, efficiently, and to spec, working under the direction of the Crew Lead and Project Manager.

• Set up and break down the job site daily — tool staging, logistics, and site preparation.

• Identify and correct deficiencies on your own initiative, before they become callbacks.

• Maintain company tools, vehicles, and the trailer in clean, organized, working condition.

• Track daily logs, hours, and cost codes accurately using JobTread.

• Represent Premier Remodeling professionally in any client interaction, relaying scope, timeline, or design questions to the Crew Lead or Project Manager rather than addressing them directly.

• Submit expense and mileage documentation accurately and on schedule.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling or construction.

• Working knowledge of hand and power tools, including safe use and basic maintenance.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites across the Columbus metro area.

• Physically able to perform sustained manual labor — lifting, carrying materials, and working at pace for a full workday.

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy).

Nice to Have

• Finish carpentry, cabinet installation, or framing experience.

• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.

• Tile/stone installation or trim and casework experience.

• Prior experience on a structured production crew with daily stand-up meetings.

• Comfort using JobTread (or a similar time-clock and CRM/photo-reporting tool).
