The Regional Director of Sales is a strategic commercial leader responsible for maximizing hotel revenue through effective sales leadership, market strategy, and partnership with property teams.


Reporting directly to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy & Performance, this individual will provide direction, coaching, and support to hotel sales leaders across a portfolio of hotels while ensuring each property is positioned for long-term success.


This role requires someone who can think strategically while remaining engaged in the day-to-day business. You'll partner closely with Revenue Management, Operations, Marketing, and hotel leadership to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and execute commercial strategies that drive profitable growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a portfolio of on-property sales leaders.
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals.
  • Coach teams on prospecting, account development, negotiation, and closing strategies.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize total hotel performance.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and business intelligence to identify opportunities.
  • Drive group, corporate, negotiated, and local business development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular property visits to coach teams, strengthen client relationships, and support business development efforts.
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline management, production, and performance metrics.
  • Foster collaboration between Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Present performance updates, action plans, and commercial strategies to ownership groups and executive leadership.
  • Lead by example through accountability, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience, including multi-property or regional responsibility preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hotel commercial strategy, revenue management, sales processes, and market segmentation.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into action.
  • Self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned portfolio.

Compensation

$125,000 - $125,000/year
