Receptionist - Buckhannon, WV

The Receptionist’s primary function is to meet and greet former, current, and potential new clients and other callers/guests/visitors on the telephone and in person when they visit our office. Other duties include maintaining the cleanliness and order of the main areas of the office.

• Open Office: Unlock front doors, wake up/turn on office equipment, and make sure all office areas have proper supplies.

• Answer Incoming Calls: Direct incoming calls, screen calls and take messages, and answer basic questions about the firm.

• Greet Visitors: Create a positive and professional first impression, make visitors comfortable, and direct visitors to the appropriate meeting area.

• Keep the lobby, reception area, and conference areas neat and clean.

• Scan documents and attorney notes; file and maintain case files.

• Date-stamps and scans all incoming mail.

• Route all mail and deliveries to the proper person.

• Assists other staff and performs general office tasks as requested.

• Schedule and monitor the conference rooms.

• A high school diploma.

• Some prior office experience and experience with business phone systems, office computer systems, and software.

• Pleasant speaking voice and ability to politely handle emotional callers.
