Join Love to Code Academy as a Minecraft Instructor, where you'll turn Minecraft into more than a game; it becomes the classroom for building character. You'll lead elementary students through hands-on coding and building challenges, coaching teamwork, persistence, and problem-solving in real time as they create. It's a part-time role with flexible after-school hours, perfect for someone who loves both technology and helping kids grow into confident, resilient creators.

  • Lead weekly Minecraft-based coding and building classes for elementary students, following LTCA's structured session format

  • Guide students through hands-on projects and challenges, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking

  • Coach character traits in real time — naming teamwork, persistence, and integrity as students work, not just teaching Minecraft mechanics

  • Let students work through difficulty and setbacks before stepping in, so persistence and self-control actually get built

  • Maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment for every session

  • Track and communicate student progress to the Program Director, including readiness for belt promotion

  • Build positive relationships with students and parents, representing LTCA's mission with every interaction

  • Comfortable and confident working directly with elementary-age kids in a group setting

  • Familiar with Minecraft (Java, Bedrock, or Education Edition) and able to guide builds and troubleshoot in real time

  • Strong communicator who can hold a room's attention without relying on volume or lectures

  • Patient enough to let a student struggle for a minute before jumping in to help

  • Reliable and punctual for scheduled class blocks

  • Prior teaching, coaching, camp counselor, or youth-program experience preferred but not required

  • Must pass a background check and meet Missouri requirements for working with minors

Compensation

$25 - $30 per Hour

Love to Code Academy is a youth character development academy built on a single belief: the most important thing students build here is not a program or a robot — it is character.

Through coding, robotics, and esports, students develop the traits that matter most in life — teamwork, persistence, integrity, confidence, and leadership. Technology is the environment. Character development is the outcome.
