Title: Property Manager – NYC Co-ops & Condominiums

Company: Total Management NYC, LLC
Location: Bronx office, with field visits to assigned NYC properties
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Two days at our Bronx office and three field days per week, plus evening meetings and on-call responsibilities
Annual Base Salary: $50,000–$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications

About the Opportunity

At Total Management NYC, exceptional property management begins with how we treat people. We are seeking a personable, organized, and proactive professional with a passion for customer service, a hospitality mindset, and a willingness to learn.

Prior property management experience is helpful, but not required. We welcome candidates from hospitality, hotel operations, client services, and other backgrounds that involve building relationships, coordinating teams, and taking ownership of the customer experience.

You will manage an assigned portfolio of NYC cooperative and condominium communities, supported by our dedicated maintenance, accounting, and administrative teams. Your focus will be building strong client relationships, coordinating services, leading board meetings, and ensuring consistent communication and follow-through.

Who You Are

You listen carefully, communicate clearly, and follow through on your commitments. You anticipate needs, stay calm when problems arise, and make people feel heard and respected.

You are comfortable leading meetings, explaining information, and handling difficult conversations professionally. When you do not know an answer, you take responsibility for finding it and following up.

You understand that hospitality shows up in everyday actions: a warm greeting, a timely response, a thoughtful explanation, and an update before someone has to ask.

Training & Transition

During an initial transition of approximately three months, you will work closely with company leadership to learn your assigned properties, build board relationships, and progressively assume responsibility for meetings.

You will begin by attending meetings alongside leadership, then take the lead with guidance. The goal is for you to independently lead routine board meetings and manage day-to-day client relationships after the transition, with continued support from our internal teams and leadership for escalated matters.

Schedule & Availability

  • Two days per week at our Bronx office and three field days per week, visiting assigned NYC properties and coordinating with building staff and vendors.

  • Attendance at evening board meetings, typically between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

  • 24/7 availability by phone: Remain reachable outside regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to building emergencies and urgent board-member concerns.

  • Work with our maintenance team and company leadership to coordinate emergency responses and provide timely updates.

  • Provide attentive service and consistent follow-up on routine board inquiries.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $50,000–$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Health insurance benefits with 50% of the premium covered by the company.

  • A 401(k) plan.

  • A monthly travel reimbursement allowance.

  • A compensation review after six months.

  • Structured onboarding and direct guidance from company leadership.

  • Ongoing support from dedicated maintenance, accounting, and administrative teams.

Our Story

Total Management NYC was founded with a simple mission: to provide NYC co-ops and condos with the attentive, professional management they deserve. Since 2014, we've stayed true to that vision.

Unlike large, impersonal management companies where your building is just another number, we take a boutique approach. Every building we manage receives personalized attention from a dedicated team who knows your property, your board, and your residents.

Our headquarters in the Bronx and satellite office in Manhattan keep us close to the buildings and communities we serve. We understand NYC real estate because we're part of it.
