The primary purpose of this position is to work with customers to determine their analytical needs, coordinates with laboratory and administrative staff to ensure that these needs are understood, and ensures that the service provided adequately meets these defined needs. ALS Environmental Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities:

2. Establish a working relationship with client.
3. Identify client’s analytical needs and how the lab can address these needs.
4. Plan analytical program to meet these needs.
5. Keep client informed of progress of work.
6. Report findings and results back to client.
7. Communicate client concerns/issues to lab management.
8. Keep client informed of new developments and lab services.
9. Provides quotations and job specifications for specific work.

1. Project Responsibilities
2. Work with client and lab to define project specifications. Communicate project schedule to lab.
3. Work with Sample Control to ensure proper type and number containers are provided.
4. Review incoming work to ensure work requests are properly specified according to project requirements.
5. Track as required projects through the lab keeping client and lab personnel appraised of progress.
6. Prepare, review, and approve invoices for specific work orders.

1. Reporting and QA/QC Responsibilities:
2. Ensure consistent reporting formats for clients.
3. Responsible for meeting QA objectives for specified projects.
4. Approves certified analytical reports.
5. Brings problems or issues relative to work to the QA Coordinator, Lab Operations, or Lab Management for study and resolution.
6. At times may be involved with QAP development.
7. May participate in specific marketing activities (i.e., trade show booths), if appropriate.
8. Identifies and communicates to management on new marketing opportunities and other issues.
9. Works closely with SC, Lab Operations, QA/QC, and administrative staff to keep everyone informed as appropriate on client issues and projects.

• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Required Education and Experience:

• Advanced degree in Chemistry or any related science with 5+ years of experience in analytical laboratory operations.
