The Maine Medical Association, Center for Quality Improvement (MMA-CQI), is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to support the work of the Committee on Physician Quality and its External Peer Review and Office-Based Quality Improvement programs.
This position provides day-to-day coordination and administrative support to help ensure projects, meetings, and quality improvement activities are organized and completed successfully. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the CQI Director, project staff, physician leaders, hospitals, and clinical practices.

MMA-CQI works with physicians, healthcare organizations, and community partners across Maine to improve healthcare quality, patient safety, and health outcomes.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals and physician leaders while gaining meaningful experience in quality improvement, healthcare operations, and project coordination.
Coordinate meetings and activities for the Committee on Physician Quality, including scheduling, meeting materials, agendas, notes, and follow-up.
Communicate with physicians, hospitals, clinical practices, and other external partners to gather information and coordinate activities.
Preparing financial documents for accounting, managing CPQ program membership and program marketing.
Provide operational support for External Peer Review and Office-based Quality Improvement activities.
Coordinate peer reviewer logistics and related communication under the direction of the Committee Chair and CQI Director.
Track assigned project activities, deadlines, and deliverables and follow up as needed.
Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, webinars, and other events.
Prepare and format agendas, presentations, reports, correspondence, and other project materials.
Provide basic technical and logistical support for virtual meetings and events.
Maintain organized spreadsheets, records, and documentation.
Assist the CQI team with other project coordination activities as assigned.
Required:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Professional and comfortable communicating with physicians, healthcare organizations, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Adobe, Canva, Survey Monkey, and Excel.
Experience coordinating meetings, projects, events, or administrative activities.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in healthcare, quality improvement, project coordination, or a related field.
Familiarity with project management practices or tools.
Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Compensation
$27,5000 - $28,5000
