Are you a hard-working, process-driven painter searching for a new opportunity at a growing company? You might be a great fit for our team. Our painters perform a variety of tasks such as assembling scaffolding, surface preparation, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint colors, and painting homes and businesses. The ideal candidate should be comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Ideally, you have experience with a variety of paint surfaces and materials, and are comfortable using hand and power tools to get the job done. If you're ready to get started, apply today!
- Prepare surfaces for painting by filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding
- Erect scaffolding when required
- Coat painted surfaces with primer or sealer
- Communicate with clients to determine their needs and advise them on the right approach
- Leave the work area clean once the project has been completed
- Stamina, standing for long periods of time, dexterity, and physical strength is required
- Should have general knowledge of painting techniques and tools, but we are willing to provide training
- Candidates should have strong time management, communication skills, and attention to detail
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship is preferred, but not required
Compensation
$17 - $20 hourly
Conveniently located in downtown Binghamton’s business and government districts. Accessible from all major highways, our inviting Binghamton hotel is situated near the confluence of the Chenango and Susquehanna Rivers.
