SRR Group is seeking a proactive, part-time PR & Media Relations Manager to build and elevate the public profile of the firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on identifying opportunities before they become obvious — someone who can spot a breaking immigration story and immediately position the right attorney as the expert voice, or notice an unusual case result and recognize its media potential. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the firm's media strategy, from cultivating relationships with reporters and producers to securing awards, rankings, and speaking engagements that build long-term credibility and visibility. The candidate will operate at an Executive Managerial level to fully manage and perform the firm's PR and Media Relations functions.

This role can be filled either remotely or in person. We anticipate a need of 30 hours per month.

This is a relationship-driven, forward-looking role. Rather than reacting to inbound requests, the person in this position will maintain a long-range calendar of opportunities, track submission deadlines, and consistently position firm attorneys for recognition and media exposure across legal, business, and mainstream outlets.

• Proactively identifying and leveraging existing relationships within the industry to pitch media opportunities, including reporters, podcasts, TV, radio, legal press, and mainstream outlets where firm attorneys can comment as subject-matter experts

• Monitoring immigration-related news and current events to quickly position attorneys as expert commentators (newsjacking)

• Researching and tracking legitimate local, state, national, legal, and business awards, leadership lists, and recognitions for which attorneys may qualify

• Preparing and submitting nomination packages, tracking deadlines, and managing the full submission process for awards, rankings, and directories

• Identifying and securing speaking opportunities, conference panels, and guest appearances for attorneys

• Building and maintaining relationships with reporters, producers, editors, industry associations, and award organizations

• Drafting pitches, bios, talking points, press releases, and nomination materials

• Maintaining a 12–18 month forward-looking opportunity calendar to plan media and recognition efforts in advance

• Reviewing case outcomes, litigation matters, and attorney commentary to identify stories with legitimate media potential

• Leveraging awards and recognitions after they are secured through follow-on media, content, and promotional opportunities

• Preparing attorneys for media interviews and coordinating logistics for interviews and appearances

• Placing attorney-authored articles with relevant publications

• Extensive experience in public relations, media relations, or a related communications field

• Established relationships with reporters, producers, or media contacts, ideally within legal, business, or mainstream press

• Experience preparing award nominations, rankings submissions, or professional recognition applications

• Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft compelling pitches, press releases, bios, and talking points

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple ongoing initiatives, and plan strategically over a 12–18 month horizon

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to deadlines

• Comfort working with attorneys to prepare them for interviews and public-facing opportunities

• Experience in legal or professional services PR is a plus
