Payless Drugs is seeking an experienced, motivated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead our busy, established community pharmacy in Morris, Alabama.

We are looking for a pharmacist who takes initiative, leads by example, values accountability, and enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and staff.

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate prescription dispensing, efficient workflow, patient safety, and excellent customer service.

• Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy technicians and support staff while establishing clear expectations and maintaining accountability.

• Ensure compliance with Alabama Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and applicable federal and state laws.

• Promote and actively participate in immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), medication synchronization, and other clinical services.

• Manage pharmacy inventory, controlled substances, purchasing practices, and regulatory documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and pharmacy performance through technology and effective teamwork.

• Collaborate directly with ownership to establish goals, address challenges, and implement improvements that support the pharmacy's long-term success.

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.

• Active, unrestricted Alabama pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure before employment.

• Experience in community or retail pharmacy practice, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and knowledge of pharmacy regulations and medication safety.

• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, communicate effectively, solve problems, and manage a busy pharmacy environment.

• Commitment to patient-centered care, immunizations, medication adherence, and other clinical pharmacy services.

• Proficiency with pharmacy management technology; PioneerRx experience is preferred but not required.
