We are a busy and growing boutique personal injury law firm seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team.

Assist attorneys with the day-to-day management of personal injury cases from intake through settlement.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties.
Obtain and organize medical records, bills, insurance information, and other case documentation.
Assist with preparation of demand packages, settlement documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Monitor case deadlines, appointments, medical treatment, and outstanding records or bills.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
Communicate with clients regarding case status, treatment, documentation, and next steps.
Follow up consistently on outstanding requests and keep cases moving forward.
- Set up a system of filing for our cases that is well-organized and easy to navigate, and other related admin duties
- Aid lawyers in preparing for trial by arranging exhibits, witnesses, legal materials, client meetings, and motions
- Talk with service providers or insurers about possible settlements for liens, bills, and medical expenses
- Help attorneys create legal pleadings, paperwork, and correspondence, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notifications, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
- Order, review, and summarize medical records for preparing factual response to discovery
Prior personal injury paralegal experience strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, empathetic, and client-focused demeanor.
Comfortable communicating with clients and third parties by phone, email, and other methods.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of a small team.
- Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) is highly preferred
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer, preferably in a personal injury law firm
- Talented verbal communicator and writer
Compensation
$65,000 - $75,000 yearly
