Grote Automotive is looking for a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist to take our social media presence to the next level.

This position is ideal for someone who understands current social media trends, enjoys creating engaging videos and content, and knows how to turn everyday moments into content people want to watch, share, and engage with.

The primary focus is creating and publishing 7–10 quality social media posts per week across our platforms, helping grow our online audience, build brand awareness, and showcase what makes Grote Automotive different from other dealerships. We’re looking for someone who thinks outside the box, takes initiative, and can work independently while submitting all content for approval before publishing.

• Create and publish 7–10 social media posts per week, with a minimum of one post daily.

• Produce a variety of content, including short-form videos, Reels, photos, vehicle highlights, service-related content, employee features, customer interactions, educational posts, and entertaining or trending content.

• Film, edit, and develop engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

• Actively look for content opportunities throughout our dealerships by interacting with employees, capturing authentic moments, and showcasing the customer experience.

• Stay current on social media trends, popular formats, and creative opportunities with the potential to increase reach, shares, and engagement.

• Develop fresh content concepts, promotional ideas, and creative ways to highlight our sales and service departments.

• Create authentic, relatable content that builds Grote Automotive’s personality rather than relying solely on traditional vehicle advertisements.

• Plan content in advance, maintain a consistent posting schedule, and manage daily projects independently.

• Submit all photos, videos, captions, promotional messaging, and other content for approval before publishing.

• Monitor social media performance and identify opportunities to improve content, engagement, and organic growth.

• Share recommendations for paid promotion when appropriate, with all additional advertising spending requiring approval.

• Experience creating social media content, particularly short-form videos, Reels, photos, and other engaging digital content.

• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends.

• Strong creativity and the ability to develop original ideas that capture attention and encourage people to watch, share, and engage.

• Comfortable filming and editing videos and appearing on camera when appropriate.

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage projects from concept through approval.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet weekly content goals and deadlines.

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably with employees and customers while capturing authentic content.

• Willingness to learn the Grote Automotive brand, understand our audience, and develop content that reflects our personality and values.

• Ability to accept feedback, make revisions, and follow the required content approval process.

• A portfolio or examples of personally created content is strongly preferred, particularly videos or social media posts demonstrating creativity and engagement.

Automotive marketing experience is not required. We are more interested in someone who is creative, proactive, comfortable creating content, and understands what makes people want to engage with social media.
