Growth Opportunity Career Advisor -PT

To manage participant cases and deliver comprehensive services that prepare clients for successful entry and retention in employment, military service, or postsecondary education. Responsibilities include determining eligibility, conducting and interpreting objective assessments, collaboratively developing Career Pathway Plans, facilitating training opportunities, and coordinating work-based learning experiences. The role places a strong emphasis on equipping program participants with the skills and readiness needed to thrive in the workforce. This position reports to the Growth Opportunity Program Manager, who evaluates performance annually.

• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

• Conduct and interpret needs assessments to evaluate literacy, numeracy, occupational skills, prior work experience, interests, aptitudes, and supportive service needs; identify barriers and coordinate appropriate services.

• Develop and update Career Pathway Plans with customers to establish career goals, WorkOne services, skills development activities, and job search strategies.

• Facilitate employment and skill development services to meet all requirements of the associated grants attachment.

• Refer customers to training opportunities, provide necessary vouchers and documentation, and design activities to enhance skills such as basic education, customer service, computer proficiency, and job search techniques.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Associate degree in a related field.

• 2 years of related experience.

• Proficient in problem-solving and developing creative solutions to overcome barriers.

• Skilled in time management and prioritizing multiple cases efficiently.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

• Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
