Assistant Superintendent Co-op Employment Opportunity

Our Forest Green Co-op in Islip is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and responsible individual to join our team.

• On call one weekend a month

• 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday preferably)

• 8am – 4pm, 1-hour lunch break

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-run residential community and enjoys working with people.

• Assisting the Superintendent with the daily operation and maintenance of the property.

• Performing routine building and grounds maintenance.

• Responding to shareholder maintenance requests and concerns.

• Keeping common areas clean, safe, and well maintained.

• Assisting with repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

• Helping maintain the clubhouse and other common facilities.

• Assisting with emergencies and after-hours building issues when needed.

• Working cooperatively with the Board of Directors, Superintendent, shareholders and contractors.

• Maintenance or building experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Ability to respond to building emergencies when required.
