Earth, Turf & Wood, Lancaster County's outdoor living builder for over 26 years, is hiring an Outdoor Living Consultant to own the full sales cycle, from first handshake to signed agreement. This isn't order-taking. It's consultative selling for people who want to fall in love with an idea and trust the person who's guiding them there.

What You'll Do

• Run in-home consultations, uncover what clients actually want, and shape custom outdoor living solutions around it

• Walk sites, take measurements, and translate that into a real project scope

• Partner with our design and production teams to build proposals that win

• Present, follow up, and close, then stay in the relationship for referrals and repeat business

• Keep clients in the loop from the signed contract through the final walkthrough

What Makes You a Fit

• A track record of hitting or beating sales goals in landscape construction, outdoor living, home improvement, or a related field

• You build trust fast and close without being pushy

• You're organized enough to juggle multiple active projects without dropping the ball

• You have (or want) real roots in Lancaster County; this role rewards a strong local network

• Bonus points: experience with hardscaping, masonry, pools, or outdoor construction; familiarity with CAD or HubSpot

Sales & Client Development

• Develop relationships with prospective and existing clients to generate new business opportunities

• Conduct in-home consultations and initial client interviews using the company's sales process

• Identify client goals, priorities, and investment levels to create customized outdoor living solutions

• Perform detailed site analyses, measurements, and project assessments

• Collaborate with Landscape Designers to develop concepts and proposals that meet client objectives

• Prepare accurate project budgets and estimates for review

• Present solutions, manage follow-up communication, and close sales opportunities

• Maintain ongoing relationships with past clients to encourage repeat business and referrals

• Conduct project walkthroughs and post-installation follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction

• Manage warranty follow-up communications when necessary

Project Coordination

• Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless project handoff

• Attend sales, production, and project meetings as required

• Communicate project updates, add-ons, change orders, and client expectations to internal teams

• Participate in pre-construction site visits to support successful project execution

• Monitor project progress and maintain strong communication with clients throughout construction

• Proven sales success in landscape construction, outdoor living, home improvement, construction, or a related industry

• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals

• Strong relationship-building, communication, and client service skills

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

• Comfortable maintaining a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and Saturdays as needed to meet client and business needs

• Willingness to work the hours necessary to achieve sales goals, support project success, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms is a plus
