We are in search of an Operations Manager to join our team in Hunter, NY. In this crucial role, you will be tasked with promptly addressing guest concerns and embodying the essence of our lodge by establishing meaningful connections with our visitors. The position requires active daily engagement throughout the property to ensure a seamless guest experience.


Working closely with a dedicated team, the Operations Manager will be dedicated to delivering outstanding, welcoming, and efficient service. Responsibilities include overseeing the Front Desk, Billing, ensuring consistency in the property management system through training and inspections, and managing the Food and Beverage program. - The ideal candidate will focus on maximizing room revenue, maintaining high occupancy rates, and placing a strong emphasis on guest and staff satisfaction to create a memorable experience for all.

Responsibilities
  • The Operations Manager position in Hunter, NY, US requires eligibility to work in the United States of America.
  • Essential for this role is previous experience in food and beverage service, including at least 3 years of management experience as a restaurant FOH/BOH supervisor.
  • A bonus would be having a diploma or degree in business management, culinary arts, or hospitality management.
  • The Operations Manager will need to work a 5.5-day week during the season, averaging 50-60 hours per week, with 4 nights dedicated to managing the floor.
  • The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts based on operational needs.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for this position.
  • Required are strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and employees.
  • Essential qualities include enjoyment in working with the public and a genuine appreciation for providing guests with a memorable experience.
  • Necessary knowledge includes fine, casual, and banquet dining styles, proper food and beverage service, basic cooking techniques, health codes, and liquor laws.
  • Certification in Tips and Serve-Safe is a must for this role.
  • The Operations Manager should possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, quick learning ability, and hands-on accountability.
  • Essential is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Required are strong observational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and handle stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Physical abilities such as walking, bending, lifting, manual dexterity, and working in varying temperatures are necessary for this role.
Qualifications
  • The Operations Manager must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • Candidates interested in the position should meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are vital for conveying information efficiently.
  • Proficiency in working within a Mac environment is a mandatory prerequisite.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and acute attention to detail are indispensable.
  • Experience with Clock or a similar Property Management System is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills are a requisite for success in this role.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and guests is a critical aspect of the position.
  • The ability to both receive and give direction effectively is important.
  • Ideal candidates should possess qualities such as neatness, courtesy, flexibility, and extreme attention to detail.
  • Interacting graciously with the public is a quality expected from the ideal candidate.
  • Remaining calm, courteous, and professional, especially in challenging situations, is a requirement.
  • Demonstrated initiative in job performance, including proactive task management, is necessary.
  • A proven track record of meeting deadlines is essential.
  • Being a team player who is flexible and supportive of the property and Lark Hotel goals is crucial.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on guest demand, is required.
  • A minimum of 2-3 plus years of experience in the hotel division and Food and Beverage program with increasing responsibilities is mandatory.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends is a fundamental requirement for this position.
Compensation
$60,000 yearly
