Office Assistant - Administrative

Covarent • Richardson, TX, US

Posted 1 hour ago

We're looking for an organized, dependable Office Assistant to keep our Richardson office running smoothly. You'll be a key point of contact for our contractors, callers, and team, helping coordinate schedules, keep documents in order, and make sure the office has what it needs day to day. This is a newly developing position, so as the role grows, expect additional responsibilities to be added over time. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a company and take on more as they learn the business.

  • Coordinate and hand off schedules with contractors, confirming dates, times, and job details

  • Organize, file, and maintain physical and digital documents, including contracts, invoices, permits, and job paperwork

  • Serve as the second point of contact on the main phone line: answering calls, taking messages, and routing inquiries to the right person

  • Track and order office supplies and marketing materials (business cards, flyers, branded items) so inventory never runs low

  • Greet visitors and vendors, and receive deliveries and mail

  • Enter and update information in company systems and spreadsheets

  • Maintain calendars and send appointment reminders as needed

  • Assist with scanning, printing, and preparing documents for the team

  • Support other administrative and office needs as the role develops

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year of office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear, professional phone and email communication

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and follow through without close supervision

  • Experience in construction, trades, or property management is a plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Compensation

$17 - $20 hourly

Covarent is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based trades company built around a simple idea: the people doing the work should be the ones you can trust to get it right the first time.

We operate across plumbing, excavation, and construction services — three trades that, done well, share the same foundation: licensed expertise, careful planning, and follow-through. Rather than treating these as separate vendors, Covarent brings them together under one roof, so property owners, developers, and businesses across DFW get consistent standards and a single point of accountability.
