We're looking for an experienced Loan Processor (Loan Partner 3) who takes pride in delivering an exceptional client experience while keeping loans moving efficiently.

If you are a Mortgage Processor who enjoys taking ownership of your pipeline, communicating proactively, solving problems, and working alongside a supportive, high-performing team, we'd love to meet you.

The Processor is responsible for managing loans from lock through funding, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality underwriting submissions and closings. This role works closely with the Loan Officer, Loan Partners, underwriters, borrowers, and third-party partners to proactively manage files, minimize underwriting conditions, and help ensure loans close on time.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5 years of mortgage processing experience (Broker experience is a Plus+ but not required)

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability and pride in your work

  • The ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with accuracy and efficiency

  • A proactive self-starter mentality. You’re resourceful, comfortable finding answers on your own, and don’t need constant direction to keep things moving.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

  • Resourceful and solutions-oriented. You know how to find answers, solve problems, and move things forward independently while recognizing when a question truly needs to be escalated.

We're looking for someone who is coachable, embraces new ideas and processes, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in finding solutions, not just identifying problems.

Essential Duties of This Position

Pre-Underwrite

  • Review all incoming loans within one business day of receipt.

  • Review approximately five loans daily (or as directed by the Loan Officer).

  • Verify loan file completeness using the pre-underwrite checklist.

  • Request and analyze documentation related to cash, credit, income, and borrower capacity.

  • Work with the Loan Partners and Loan Officer to obtain any missing documentation needed for underwriting.

  • Initiate all required third-party services.

  • Submit complete, accurate, high-quality loan files to underwriting within three business days.

  • Average approximately three underwriting submissions per day.

  • Strive for 95% or more of initial Conditional Loan Approvals (CLAs) to have 10 or fewer conditions.

Post-Underwrite

  • Review Conditional Loan Approvals (CLAs) for clarity and accuracy.

  • Confirm outstanding conditions have not already been received before requesting additional documentation.

  • Translate underwriting conditions into borrower-friendly language.

  • Review, package, and submit conditions accurately and promptly.

  • Maintain a two-touch maximum to Clear-to-Close.

  • Share feedback and best practices with the team to strengthen future loan submissions.

  • Send Clear-to-Close requests to the full loan team.

  • Review Initial Closing Disclosures (ICDs) and Closing Disclosures (CDs) for accuracy against the Loan Estimate.

  • Ensure 95% or more of loans close on time.

Post-Fund

  • Monitor closed loans for funding authorization.

  • Respond to post-funding issues the same business day.

  • Clear post-funding conditions as required.

  • Support borrowers and team members with post-closing questions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to improve LP2 submission checklists and workflows.

  • Attend weekly team and pipeline meetings.

  • Log all critical communication in the Loan Origination System (LOS).

  • Build strong working relationships with underwriting, closing, funding, post-closing, and quality control teams.

  • Deliver proactive, high-quality communication that exceeds traditional processing expectations.

  • Help create an exceptional borrower experience through clear communication, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage processing experience.

  • Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and investor guidelines

  • Experience with DU/DO and Loan Prospector

  • Experience using major Loan Origination Systems such as Arive

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accountability.

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Coachable and open to learning new systems and processes.

  • Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments

  • Completion of all required regulatory and compliance training.
