Are you an experienced Mortgage Loan Partner looking for a stable, salaried position as a Loan Partner Pre-Approval Specialist?

Would you enjoy being on a team where you can help clients achieve their goal of home ownership without having to hunt for new business or the stress of living 100% on commission?

Here’s our ideal applicant:

  • A proactive, experienced Loan Partner 2 Pre-Approval Specialist who takes ownership and gets things done

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced mortgage environment and takes pride in being someone the team, clients, and referral partners can count on

  • Communicates quickly and professionally, knows when to pick up the phone instead of relying on email, and can explain mortgage information in a way borrowers understand. Doesn’t wait for problems to become urgent. Identifies potential issues, communicates them early, and helps find solutions

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining a high level of accountability and communication with our team. Takes ownership of their work, follows through on commitments, keeps systems and databases current, and makes sure important details don't fall through the cracks

  • Adaptable. As the team grows, priorities and responsibilities may shift; willing to step outside the traditional LP2 lane when needed to help the team succeed. Motivated to continue learning and growing rather than simply maintaining the status quo

  • Personable and professional. The voice clients remember

  • A team player who supports the loan officer and communicates with confidence

  • Detail-driven, accountable, values accuracy and is proud of their work

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Loan Partner 2 (LP2) to manage borrower prequalification, pre-approvals, and pipeline execution for a high-performing mortgage team.

If you have a passion for qualifying clients and want to be part of a great team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The LP2 role plays a critical role in ensuring loans are structured properly, communicated clearly, and closed on time.

This role works closely with the Loan Officer, borrowers, processors, underwriters, and third-party partners to maintain on-time closings while delivering a concierge-level borrower and referral partner experience.

Essential Duties of this Position

Prequalify

  • Serve as an available resource for referral partners when the Loan Officer is unavailable

  • Engage in soft qualification conversations to help assess general borrower readiness and scenario viability

  • Answer referral partner questions such as Condo warrantability, Bank statement borrower scenarios, recasting, and general loan structure questions

  • Communicate effectively with all referral partners (Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners) using clear, accurate, and compliant language

Pre-Approve

  • Accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers

  • Prepare payment and scenario requests

  • Proactively engage pre-approved buyers

  • Communicate effectively with referral partners

Pipeline Management

  • Onboard all new contracts for rate lock consultation

  • Submit applications to processing for disclosures

  • Execute borrower updates, pre-closing, and funding calls

  • Perform daily pipeline “gauge checks”

  • Attend pipeline meetings and milestone reviews

  • Deliver consistent borrower and Realtor updates

  • Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy

  • Conduct pre-closing and congratulatory funding calls

  • Provide post-closing support and urgent after-hours assistance

  • Ensure loans close on time

  • Resolve loan issues prior to LO escalation

Additional Role Expectations

  • Maintain high professionalism in all written and verbal communication

  • Act as a concierge between borrowers and business partners

  • Consistently exceed borrower and referral partner expectations

  • Active NMLS license or licensed within 30 days of hire date

  • Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage loan officer assistant, processing, or origination experience

  • Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines

  • Experience with major LOS platforms-Encompass and Blend

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-up

  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems and software quickly and independently

  • Ability to collaborate across departments

  • Completion of regulatory and compliance training

Compensation

$70,000 - $85,000

We’re a growing mortgage team with an Originator with 20 years’ experience, who is growing a branch and building back up loan volume and partners in a new community, while maintaining an existing database in other states.

We are committed to delivering an exceptional experience through responsive communication, strong follow-through, and a willingness to do what it takes for clients and referral partners.

We believe in setting clear expectations and trusting team members to take ownership of their role and deliver results. Our remote environment offers independence, but we stay closely connected through daily communication and teamwork.

We value people who are proactive, solution-oriented, adaptable, and always looking for ways to improve.

As the team grows, there will be opportunities to grow with it, take on new responsibilities, and play an important role in building a high-performing team where everyone contributes to our overall success.
