Job Title: Mortgage Loan Originator

Location: Reston, VA, US

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing new business opportunities
• Evaluating customer qualifications
• Managing the entire customer experience from start to finish

• Develop new business by networking with realtors, builders, current customers, and centers of influence to generate residential mortgage applications
• Originate loans; assist borrowers with applications
• Provide consultations and education on mortgage transactions, teaching about what to expect, setting the timelines and expectations
• Qualify borrowers; pull credit; run AUS; price loans
• Work with our processor(s) to collect documentation; follow-through with client, processor, and lender until closing
• Own the client experience to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and our clients are delighted
• Develop and maintain a personal business plan

• Must have or be willing to get an active NMLS Mortgage Originator License in Virginia, DC, and Maryland
• 1+ year of recent experience in Mortgage Loan Origination or in a sales position
• Current and active rolling pipeline of funding two loans per month required
• Experienced in working with first time home buyers
• Effective sales and marketing skills, including the ability to generate new business through networking and referral partners and other referral sources
• Ability to deal honestly and ethically with clients, employees, and business partners to achieve desired goals
• Strong understanding of loan guidelines, as well as all federal and state regulations
• Problem Solving; Demonstrate ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems at a functional level
