• Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of loan officers, shaping the culture and standards from day one
• Own the loan origination process end to end, from first client conversation to closing
• Work inside our LOS and lending tech stack to keep applications moving and documentation clean
• Keep your team compliant with TILA, Fair Housing, and FNMA guidelines without drowning in bureaucracy
• Evaluate borrower qualifications, assess risk, and support underwriting decisions
• Negotiate loan terms that work for clients and your business
• Build real relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners to grow your pipeline
• Stay sharp on market trends and mortgage products, so your team always has an edge

• Proven success as a mortgage loan officer or in retail lending, with a track record you're proud of
• Solid grasp of mortgage lending, underwriting, and regulatory requirements (TILA, Fair Housing, FNMA)
• Comfort working in an LOS and standard lending/financial software
• Strong negotiation skills and a good read on credit and risk
• Leadership instincts, whether you've formally managed a team or you're ready to build one for the first time
• Working knowledge of mortgage servicing, escrow, and the loan processing lifecycle
• Clear, confident communication with clients, partners, and your growing team
