We are looking for a skilled Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our top-producing team and assist our mortgage loan origination officers with the front-end work. You're responsible for taking the client from the time of initial application until they get an accepted offer on a home. You'll maintain at least weekly contact with them, work with them to obtain documents for the preapproval process, shepherd the file through our underwriter-verified preapproval program, and update preapprovals as needed.


This is an excellent way to solidify your lending experience and progress to becoming a senior loan officer. This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to identify potential issues with preapproval and actively work to find solutions. Responsibilities

  • Answer questions about transactions for clients and company employees to help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with administrative duties such as making and screening calls, booking appointments, etc.
  • Act as the primary contact between clients and our company, and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed
  • Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation for verifications and underwriting, such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculationn then report any discrepancies to the loan originator

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of loan origination or loan officer assistant experience is required
  • Having an NMLS license is not required, but it is preferred
  • Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients
  • Understand basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc.

Compensation

$20/hour
