- Welcome and assist patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently, balancing patient needs with clinic resources.
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy, providing clear and accurate information.
- Maintain patient records with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate billing and insurance processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of claims.
- Support the clinical team by preparing necessary documentation and materials for patient visits and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area, creating a positive first impression for all visitors and patients.
- Experience (2-5 years preferred) in a medical office or healthcare setting to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Ability to communicate warmly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Proven track record of managing patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Skill in verifying patient insurance eligibility, referrals, and required documentation.
- Experience in handling patient payments, discussing outstanding balances, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system, route messages, and respond to patient inquiries promptly.
- Proficiency in scheduling and rescheduling appointments, optimizing provider schedules, and managing cancellations and no-shows effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Candidates must be willing to work at both our Austin and Leander clinic locations based on the physician's schedule and patient care needs.
Compensation
$17 - $24 hourly
We are launching a new outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practice serving patients in the Austin and Leander communities. Our clinical team is led by a board-certified internist and pulmonologist dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality specialty care.
