Our busy shop is seeking an experienced lube technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles, and it is a hybrid position. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired. We have an added commission opportunity with our mobile service. Responsibilities

Go out on Mobile Service calls as needed

Conduct oil changes and fluid inspections on customer vehicles, including emptying and refilling engine oil and checking and refilling transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids
Offer suggestions to consumers for additional services based on mileage and vehicle history
Make sure all work areas and the shop floor are clean, and that all safety rules are observed

Qualifications

This position requires excellent customer service skills
Lube technician experience of one or more years or related automotive experience is preferred
Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools, and other garage equipment safely

Compensation

$44,500 + added commission
