Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including hearings, mediations, trials, and case preparation
• Manage litigation deadlines, court calendars, scheduling, and case organization
• Prepare hearing notebooks, exhibits, trial binders, and supporting documentation
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with discovery management, document collection, and file organization
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to help cases progress efficiently and effectively
• Maintain accurate billing entries and case management documentation

If you are a Litigation Paralegal looking to join a collaborative legal team that values communication, mentorship, teamwork, and client experience, we’d love to hear from you.

• Coordinate and manage litigation case files, court deadlines, hearing schedules, discovery timelines, and attorney task follow-up to ensure cases progress efficiently and accurately.
• Draft and prepare litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, notices, correspondence, and trial preparation materials.
• Assist attorneys with mediation, hearing, and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing hearing notebooks and trial binders, coordinating witnesses, and managing supporting documentation.
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties while supporting a high-quality client experience.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal support staff to streamline litigation workflows, improve case organization, and contribute to a team-focused environment centered on communication, accountability, and client service.
• Review, organize, and maintain case files, discovery documents, financial records, and evidence to support litigation strategy and case progression.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence while ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with North Carolina court procedures and filing requirements.
• Support attorneys by preparing case summaries, timelines, exhibit lists, and trial materials while proactively identifying outstanding items or potential case delays.
• Utilize legal technology and case management systems efficiently to maintain documentation, track tasks, update case activity, and support effective communication across the legal team.

• Previous litigation paralegal experience required
• Family law experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court processes
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and legal technology platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-focused environment
