Description

Join 770GoodLaw as a Paralegal and become an indispensable part of the litigation team that fights for clients every day. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our litigation practice — drafting complaint packages, preparing discovery responses, collecting evidence, and helping shepherd cases from filing all the way through trial and settlement disbursement. Your work directly supports our attorneys and keeps every case moving forward with precision and purpose.

This is a dynamic, deadline-driven role suited for someone who thrives on organization, detail, and meaningful legal work. Depending on experience level, you'll take on progressively greater responsibility — from foundational drafting and calendaring to case strategy analysis, motion practice, and trial preparation — with room to grow into more advanced litigation work over time.

We're committed to investing in the people who power our litigation practice, and we'll support you with competitive pay, career advancement opportunities, and a full benefits package including paid time off, health insurance reimbursement, a professional development program, and a 401(k) with company matching.

If you're detail-driven, deadline-oriented, and passionate about doing meaningful work that impacts clients' lives, we'd love to have you on the team.

Responsibilities

Client Communication

  • Serve as the primary intermediary between the Associate Attorney and clients — scheduling attorney-client meetings and calls, communicating disbursement details, coordinating depositions, mediations, and trials, and delivering case updates and discovery-related communications as directed by the attorney.

Pleadings & Complaint Packages

  • Draft complaint packages, template motions, and post-suit demands including unliquidated damages demands and offers of settlement (Grade 7); draft dismissals and satisfactions of judgment as cases resolve.

Discovery

  • Draft responses to written discovery, prepare non-party requests for production of documents and 6.4B letters, and (at Grade 6+) review defendants' answers and discovery responses to support attorney strategy.

Evidence & Medical Records

  • Request and collect all necessary case evidence and, at Grade 7, compile medical chronologies in Excel to support case valuation and litigation strategy.

Depositions, Mediations & Trial Scheduling

  • Schedule, calendar, and notice all depositions and mediations; calendar trial dates and all trial-associated deadlines to ensure the litigation team stays ahead of every critical date.

Trial Preparation

  • Assist in preparing and organizing trial exhibits, notify and subpoena trial witnesses, and support the attorney through all pre-trial preparation phases.

Settlement & Disbursements

  • Assemble disbursement packets, draft Estimated Disbursement Worksheets (Grade 6+), and disburse settlement checks to clients upon case resolution.

Case Strategy (Grade 7)

  • Conduct SWOT analysis on assigned cases — identifying strengths to capitalize on, weaknesses to overcome, opportunities to pursue, and threats to confront — to help shape and support the attorney's litigation strategy.

Filing & Case Administration

  • File all litigation documents electronically or physically, ensuring proper formatting, timely submission, and accurate recordkeeping across the case management system.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred, with 2–5 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation — personal injury or plaintiff-side practice strongly preferred; direct experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions in Georgia state courts is a significant advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of the civil litigation process, including complaint drafting, written discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation — with familiarity in calendaring statutory deadlines and filing documents both electronically and physically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and reliability, with a consistent track record of producing high-quality work product, meeting deadlines under pressure, and supporting the broader team without sacrificing individual case ownership.
  • A collaborative, values-driven professional who communicates effectively with clients and internal teams alike — someone who understands and lives 770GoodLaw's mission and values through their day-to-day behavior and client interactions.

Compensation

$21.63 - $29.33/hour
