Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a diverse family law caseload from initial intake through to resolution, ensuring each case progresses smoothly.
  • Draft and prepare essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and financial affidavits, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare cases meticulously for hearings, mediations, and trials, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence are organized and ready.
  • Maintain and manage court deadlines and attorney calendars, ensuring no critical dates are missed and all parties are informed.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates and exceptional service to foster trust and clarity throughout the legal process.
  • Organize, review, and analyze financial records, discovery materials, and case documents to support case strategy and outcomes.
  • File documents with the courts promptly, ensuring all procedural requirements are met and compliance is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of three years of family law paralegal experience, ensuring you're well-versed in the nuances of divorce, child custody, and related matters.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida family law, enabling you to navigate state-specific legal requirements with confidence.
  • Proven ability to draft, proofread, and organize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in every task.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to provide clear and timely updates to clients and team members.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail, ensuring client confidentiality and trust.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software, equipping you with the tools to efficiently manage case files and documentation.


Preferred

  • Experience with Florida family law.
  • Experience preparing financial disclosures and trial notebooks.
  • Notary Public certification is a plus.

Compensation

$60,000 - $60,000/year
