Litigation Paralegal - Estates
Sudden Wealth Protection Law • Phoenix, AZ, US
Posted 3 hours ago
At Sudden Wealth Protection Law, you'll support complex probate administration and probate/trust litigation matters across Arizona under the leadership of Paul E. Deloughery, a probate and estate planning attorney with over 25 years of experience and a recognized track record in probate disputes. Paul has authored multiple books on probate and wealth transfer and is known for combining technical skill with deep empathy for families in conflict.
This is a role for an experienced litigation paralegal with probate experience who can own a caseload, keep matters moving, hit every deadline, and surface what needs attention before it becomes a problem.
Phoenix-based hybrid (2–3 days in office), remote considered for the right candidate.
About the Role
You'll be a key player in keeping probate, guardianship/conservatorship, and trust files moving, from opening through closing, across both contested and non-contested matters. You'll work closely with our attorneys to draft high-quality probate documents, manage deadlines, keep files organized, and communicate clearly with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and counsel. Experienced paralegals who can run a matter end to end will have the opportunity to serve as Case Manager on their own caseload.
We're a paperless firm that runs on Clio, Box, and document automation, and we lean into technology (including AI tools) to work efficiently. You should be very comfortable learning and working across these systems.
What Sets Us Apart
Flexibility with purpose: a remote work model that fits your life, with meaningful collaboration. If you're local to our Phoenix office, we'd like you in-office two to three days a week.
Professional growth: work alongside an experienced lead attorney and a talented team, with a path to case-management responsibility.
Impactful work: help families navigate some of their hardest moments with real expertise.
Our Hiring Process
We keep it straightforward and move quickly for the right candidate:
Apply — submit your resume and a cover letter that tells us why you're the right fit (skip the generic stuff), and complete the screening questions.
Video introduction — qualifying applicants will be asked to record a short (2–5 minute) video introducing themselves. Following instructions and going the extra mile matters to us.
First interview — with a member of our team.
Final interview — with our attorneys.
What You'll Do
Prepare, review, and file probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and trust-funding documents
Draft documents from firm templates (utilizing document drafting software)
Calendar all deadlines, hearings, and events, and keep a clear next step on every matter
Communicate with clients and beneficiaries, providing regular, professional updates
Keep case notes current and matter files organized in Box
Proactively flag any matter that needs attention at weekly case review; you don't need every answer, but you're expected to raise it
Track and log your time contemporaneously
