Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and effective mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families, ensuring each client feels heard and supported.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that empower clients to achieve their mental health goals, fostering a sense of progress and accomplishment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors and psychiatric nurses to share insights and strategies, enhancing the quality of care we provide.
- Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing your expertise to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the community, connecting them with resources and support systems that enhance their well-being and recovery journey.
Qualifications
- Full Counseling License in Florida REQUIRED. Students, please do not apply.
- Experience in providing compassionate and effective counseling services to diverse client populations.
- Ability to develop personalized treatment plans that empower clients to achieve their mental health goals.
- Proven track record of conducting individual and group therapy sessions in a supportive environment.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with a team of dedicated professionals.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Engagement in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and industry trends.
- Ability to participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health services in the Tampa Bay area.
Compensation
$68,900 - $94,640/year
About Tampa Bay Area Counseling
Tampa Bay Area Counseling is a unique, therapist-owned and operated mental health practice founded by counselors with 20+ years of experience. We have over 40 full-time, W-2 employed counselors and psychiatric nurses working Monday–Friday with no evenings or weekends. Our clinic-based model emphasizes collaboration, support, and clinical excellence. Our environment is very social and collaborative.
We offer private, non-shared offices and a comprehensive benefits package including paid same-day cancellations, company-paid malpractice insurance, free clinical supervision for interns, yearly raises, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and short-term disability insurance, EAP, 401(k) with 5% matching, PTO, and 0% interest clinical advancement loans.
