About the Role


As a therapist at WFWS, you’ll provide Counseling and Parenting support to high-risk families through state contracts (DCYF & DOC), as well as private-pay clients of your choosing.


Family Preservation Services (FPS) – DCYF Contract

  • In-home counseling & support for families in crisis
  • Sessions take place in the client’s home, in a public location, or virtually.
  • Travel is required within King, Snohomish, Skagit, or Island County (but only within the area you reside). You are paid for travel time.


Telehealth Counseling – DOC Contract

  • Virtual therapy for individuals transitioning from incarceration
  • Online-only sessions, no travel required


Parenting Classes – The Incredible Years

  • We provide paid training in this evidence-based program!
  • Teach parenting classes to families in DCYF, DOC, and community settings (both online & in-person).
  • Promoting First Relationships training is optional

Documentation of all services provided in easy-to-use programs.


Optional Community Workshops & Webinars

We provide opportunities for therapists to present workshops and webinars on topics of interest to them. These are offered to parents and families through multiple community platforms, allowing you to engage with a broader audience and make a wider impact. This is completely optional, but a great way to share your expertise beyond one-on-one sessions.


Opportunity for Promotion as Clinical Supervisor Role for qualified applicants.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Washington State Licensed (LMHC, LMHCA, LSW, LSWA, or CC).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with high-risk populations.
  • Passionate about trauma-informed care & family support.
  • Able to work independently but stay connected to a team.
  • Comfortable using Zoom & remote tools.
  • Willing to travel (only within your county & paid for travel time).
  • CPR & BLS Certified (or willing to obtain).
  • Pass a background check before starting.


Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience working with BIPOC communities & diverse populations
  • Interest in growing long-term with a close-knit team
  • A passion for teaching & leading community workshops
  • Experience with individuals who are neurodivergent

Compensation

$37 - $55 hourly
