Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with clients to ensure continuity of care.
Our ideal candidate holds a current LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC license in the state of North Carolina and has 1-3 years of experience counseling mental health clients. Has strong administrative skills to manage the timely completion of documentation and notes, as well as the ability to respond to client requests.
- Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members
- Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient
- Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care
- Aid with crisis intervention for patients when they are in a state of distress
- Offer community resources or specialists to patients and family members who are experiencing difficulties
This position requires a Master's Degree in a field such as counseling or social work and an active North Carolina license (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC).
We will consider associate-licensed candidates.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
- Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting
Compensation
$43 - $55 hourly
Calming Waters Counseling Services is a small, family-oriented private practice, where individuality is celebrated. We seek to provide the highest level of counseling services in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. We have two locations - Cotswold and a newer location in Mint Hill/East Charlotte. We are person-centered and place a high value on all relationships. Our team is motivated, ethical, and clinically driven. We work together and support each other within the outpatient setting.
