Responsibilities
Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans for clients
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with a variety of behavioral health concerns
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment goals and interventions
Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Utilize evidence-based practices in clinical counseling and therapy techniques
Work with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with special education needs
Provide behavioral therapy and interventions to promote positive behavior change
Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of mental health counseling
Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric clients
Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented patient records with a quality of documentation that meets facility and licensing standards
Conduct intake and needs assessment of individuals, significant others, and family members by testing, interviewing, observing, and holding discussion sessions
Deliver mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children by employing solution-focused counseling techniques
Attend and participate in weekly scheduled Clinical Team meetings and collaborate with community agencies
Engage in planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
Qualifications
Master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
State licensure or certification as a Clinical Therapist
Experience working with couples and families is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of family systems techniques and interventions
Experience with addictions and/or trauma-informed care a plus
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, are needed
CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required
1-3 years in a clinical setting counseling couples and families is required
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree
Current and unrestricted state license as an LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist) or equivalent
Compensation
$72,000 - $125,000 yearly
