The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the firm's sales and intake functions to drive client acquisition, revenue growth, and an exceptional prospective client experience. This role oversees the Intake Team, develops and implements sales strategies, manages the firm's CRM and sales processes, and ensures consistent execution of best practices throughout the client acquisition journey. The Sales Manager serves as the primary owner of HubSpot initiatives, sales reporting, intake performance, and process improvement efforts designed to maximize consultation attendance, engagement rates, and overall firm growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, coach, and develop the Intake Team to achieve departmental goals and performance expectations.
- Establish and maintain accountability for sales and intake performance metrics.
- Develop and implement sales strategies designed to increase consultations, engagement rates, and revenue generation.
- Analyze sales and intake data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
- Serve as the firm's primary administrator and strategic owner of HubSpot, ensuring data integrity, workflow optimization, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Create, implement, and continuously improve HubSpot automations, pipelines, workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sales, intake, lead management, follow-up processes, and client conversion activities.
- Monitor lead flow and ensure prospective clients receive timely and effective communication throughout the intake process.
- Evaluate and improve consultation scheduling processes to maximize attendance and conversion rates.
- Conduct regular call reviews and coaching sessions to improve sales effectiveness, communication skills, and client experience.
- Identify training opportunities and provide ongoing development for intake and sales team members.
- Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to align sales strategies with firm objectives and service offerings.
- Develop scripts, objection-handling techniques, and communication frameworks for the intake team.
- Monitor consultation-to-engagement conversion rates and implement strategies to improve performance.
- Partner with Marketing and Business Development to ensure effective lead generation and lead nurturing initiatives.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership on a regular basis.
- Create and maintain departmental scorecards, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team meetings to review performance, goals, and initiatives.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new sales and intake team members.
- Manage escalated prospective client concerns and assist with resolving service issues.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, client experience, and revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives related to firm growth, client acquisition, and operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership, intake management, business development, or a related role.
- Experience leading and developing sales or client-facing teams.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems; HubSpot experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales processes and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
Compensation
$85,000 - $85,000/year
