Legal Intake Specialist

Limsky Law Group, LLCEllicott City, Maryland

Posted 10 hours ago

Limsky Law Group, LLC is growing, and we are looking for the right person to grow with us.

We are seeking a Legal Intake Specialist who enjoys working with people, takes pride in staying organized, and wants to become an important part of a supportive legal environment. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build on their existing skills, continue learning, and take on additional responsibilities as the firm grows.

Limsky Law Group helps individuals and families navigate estate planning, elder law, disability and special needs planning, long-term care planning, asset protection, and estate administration. The people reaching out to the firm may be planning for the future, caring for an aging loved one, navigating a disability, or dealing with the loss of someone they love.

You will often be the first person a prospective client speaks with when they contact the firm. We are looking for someone who can combine empathy and professionalism with strong organization, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.

Compensation and Benefits

• $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.

• $250 monthly health insurance stipend to help offset the cost of individual health coverage.

• 12 days of paid time off annually for vacation, personal time, and sick leave.

• Six paid holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

• Full-time, stable position with an established Maryland law firm.

• Opportunity to expand your skills in legal intake, client communication, case management, document preparation, and other areas of the practice.

• A supportive environment where learning, questions, communication, and professional growth are welcomed.

A Place to Learn, Contribute, and Grow

At Limsky Law Group, we believe the best working relationships are built when people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and continuing to learn. We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the firm, not simply fill a seat.

You will have the opportunity to build on the skills you already have, learn more about the firm’s practice areas, take on additional responsibilities as you grow, and contribute to an exceptional experience for clients.

If you take pride in your work, enjoy helping people, and want to be part of an encouraging environment where your contributions are noticed and appreciated, we would love to hear from you.

Equal Opportunity

Limsky Law Group, LLC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and considers applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics.

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients and create a warm, professional first impression.

• Conduct initial intake conversations, ask thoughtful questions, gather key information, and document inquiries accurately.

• Help identify the nature and urgency of each inquiry using the firm’s established intake process.

• Schedule consultations, coordinate calendars, and assist with confirmations and scheduling changes.

• Maintain prospective client and matter information within the firm’s case management system.

• Follow up with prospective clients, communicate next steps, and help ensure inquiries do not fall through the cracks.

• Assist with opening files, organizing documents, correspondence, forms, and other legal administrative responsibilities.

• Depending on experience, assist with routine document preparation and drafting under attorney supervision.

• Keep the attorney informed through clear notes, updates, and organized handoffs.

• Help maintain efficient intake and office processes as the firm continues to grow.

• A warm, polished, and professional communication style by phone, email, and written message.

• Empathy and patience when speaking with individuals and families who may be facing stressful, emotional, or unfamiliar circumstances.

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries, appointments, follow-ups, and administrative responsibilities.

• Sound judgment, discretion, and respect for confidential information.

• Reliable follow-through and the ability to work independently while communicating well with the attorney.

• Strong computer skills and comfort using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Confidence learning new technology, scheduling platforms, intake systems, and case management software.

• A positive attitude, willingness to ask questions, and genuine interest in learning and growing within the role.

Experience That Will Help You Stand Out

• Previous experience working in a law firm or other legal environment, particularly in a client-facing, legal assistant, paralegal, or intake role.

• Experience preparing or drafting legal documents, correspondence, forms, or templates under attorney supervision.

• Familiarity with Clio or another legal case management, CRM, or intake platform.

• Experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, special needs planning, or another client-focused legal practice is helpful but not required.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized, follows through, enjoys helping people, and is excited to learn and grow with the firm
