We are currently seeking a full-time, in-office Legal Assistant who is organized, motivated, and eager to learn. This position offers hands-on experience working directly with attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced legal environment. You'll gain valuable exposure to client communication, case management, court procedures, and legal document preparation while developing skills that will benefit you throughout your career.

Compensation & Benefits: We recognize that talented professionals are the foundation of our success. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications and ranges from $25 to $30 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with daily case management tasks while gaining valuable hands-on legal experience
  • Support client intake by gathering, reviewing, and organizing documentation
  • Maintain and organize both physical and electronic case files
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates, and appointments to help keep cases on track
  • Prepare and format legal correspondence and basic legal documents
  • Communicate with clients regarding document requests and case updates
  • Track case progress and help ensure deadlines are met
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
  • Provide general support to the legal team to help maintain an efficient workflow
  • Learn the fundamentals of bankruptcy practice and legal case management through daily involvement with active cases


Client Communication & Team Support:

  • Serve as a professional, friendly, and responsive point of contact for clients
  • Work directly with attorneys and paralegals, becoming an important part of a team that helps clients navigate challenging financial circumstances
  • Help ensure clients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout the legal process
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Maintain organization, accuracy, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks
  • Be willing to assist wherever needed to support the success of the team

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of law firm experience preferred
  • Prior experience as a legal assistant, administrative, or support role preferred
  • Bankruptcy experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal case management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work in-person and collaborate effectively with colleagues

Compensation

$25 - $30/hour
